Outstanding performances from Halton Swimmers at National Competitions
Luke set for World Deaf Swimming Championships
There was a time when the swimming season finished at the end of July. August was the chance for some recovery and holiday time ready for the new season to start in September. Not any more.
We are right in the middle of August and the 2014/2015 season rolls on. Luke Nisted has just departed for San Antonio to represent Great Britain in the 2015 World Deaf Swimming Championships which start on Monday 17th August 2015 and for those able to cope with the time difference - the UK is 6 hours ahead of Texas - and wishing to follow Luke’s progress, there will be a live stream on the internet.
Luke was in touch yesterday to say that he’d had a personal good luck message from the great Michael Phelps.
Back at home the domestic swimming season has now completed with a number of outstanding performances from Halton swimmers at the National Championships.
