So Halton Swim Club started off 2020 on fire with some fantastic individual and team results at the Cheshire Championship Swim Gala which took place in Macclesfield over 4 weekends in January & February.

 

In order to compete in the event, swimmers must achieve certain times in all events to qualify to compete in the competition. It was medals galore - 

 

Gold Medals for Sophie Buckley, Josh Howard-Hughes, Sam Hyland and Reuben Sumner, 200 medley team  15/16 yrs mixed, mens 200 free 13/14 yrs free, mens 200 medley 13/14/years

 

Silver Medals for Reuben Sumner, Joel Sumner, Sophie Buckley, Josh Howard Hughes & Sam Hyland, team mixed 15/15 yrs free, mens team 200 free ​

 

Bronze medals for sam Hyland, Reuben Sumner Josh Howard-Hughes, Libby Harrison & MacKinley Houghton

 

Also a special mention to all the swimmers outside of the medals that not only qualified for the event and represented the club but also where there were many personal best times achieved: Cerys Neil, Ben Clayton, Sam Shurie, Claudio Mecklenberg, Alfie Mather, Leah Galligan, Jess Connolly, Gabriella Houghton, Beth Howard-Hughes, Natasha Molyneux and Olivia Hyland.
