Halton SC swimmers continue to excel in the City of Liverpool Tadpole League competition.
Gala 3 on Friday 30th September saw 10 year old Will Woodward claim two gold medals with outstanding performances in the 200m Freestyle and 200m Backstroke both in personal best times. Will took 21 seconds off his previous best time in the freestyle event finishing in 2.35.97 some 15 seconds ahead of the second placed swimmer. It was a similar story in the backstroke with Will finishing 10 seconds ahead of the competition whilst reducing his time for the event by 14 seconds. The latest set of results put Will clear at the top of the overall BAGCATS competition for 10 year old and with two events remaining is well set to claim the boys overall 10 Years title.
Not to be outdone, Matty Sayle continues to rack up excellent performances in the 11 years competition taking the gold medal in the 50m Backstroke event and also setting himself up for a tilt at the 11year old boys title by smoothly moving into 3rd place with two events to compete.
There were also excellent performances from Ceris Breckell, Amy Steele, Elanor Sims, Eleanor Donald, Beth Reid, Eleanor Moss, Niamh Cullen and Bethany Abraham all of whom recorded personal best times in the girls 11/12 years 50m Breaststroke event.

Craig posted gold medal winning times in the Mens Open 100m Back, 50m Freestyle, 200m Back, 100m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley. This is an outstanding achievement at the first major meet of the new season with Craig posting regional qualifying times in all these events.
Will Woodward took the opportunity to continue on from his tadpoles success with a further medal haul in taking Silver in the 200m Freestyle, 200m Backstroke and 200 Individual Medley.
