Halton SC News Update – 19th April 2014

Cheshire County Swimming Championships 2014

A number of excellent performances gave Halton a grand total of 331 points and 7th Place overall in the Hugh Laughland Age Group Trophy final table at the completion of the 2014 Cheshire County Swimming Championships at Macclesfield on Sunday 30th March 2014.

This was a wonderful improvement on the 2013 closing position which had Halton in 13th place with 89 points and is evidence of the Hard Work put in at all levels of the Club during the last 12 months. With so many outstanding performances this year it’s difficult to know where to start so in no particular order.

Joshua Howard Hughes won the Overall Individual Boys 9 Years Age Group award with a total of 779 FINA points some 100 points ahead of his nearest rival. A superb achievement. Thomas Roberts came 3rd in the Individual Boys 16 Years Age Group with 1695 FINA points whilst Will Woodward finished 6th and Matty Sayle 10th in the Individual Boys 13 Years Category.
